ECVET

The European Credit System for Vocational Education and Training (ECVET) is a technical framework to facilitate the transfer, recognition and accumulation of assessed learning outcomes with a view to achieving a qualification. It is designed to facilitate lifelong learning and to support the mobility of European citizens. The learning outcomes approach ensures a better understanding and comparability of qualifications and learning achievements across countries, institutions within a country or across qualifications.

In Slovenia the ECVET team of experts consists of the following members:

  1. Darko Mali, Centre of The Republic of Slovenia for Vocational Training (CPI)
  2. Barbara Kunčič, Centre of The Republic of Slovenia for Vocational Training (CPI)
  3. Nataša Hafner-Vojčić, Ministry of The Republic of Slovenia for Education, Science and Sport
  4. Miran Papež, School Centre Velenje
  5. Aleksandar Lazarević, Electronic and computer science high school Ljubljana – Vegova
  6. Tanja Vilič-Klenovšek, the Slovenian Institute for Adult Education (SIAE)
  7. Brigita Kruder, Adult Education Centre Slovenska Bistrica.

The main task of the ECVET expert team in 2016 is a close cooperation with schools in order to improve learning mobility. Based on long-term experiences with teachers it has emerged that a lot of them have difficulties in writing down learning units and outcomes. Organized ECVET expert’s workshops offer teachers and international mobility coordinators profound training for execution of quality mobility.
From 2015 on, special emphasis are given also to implementation of ECVET principles in Lifelong learning education.
