Erasmus+ is an EU programme for cooperation in education, training, youth and sport and covers the period 2014-2020. Jean Monnet actions remain independent and unchanged part also in the new programme.
The Erasmus+ programme aims to boost skills and employability, as well as modernising Education, Training, and Youth work. The seven year programme will have a budget of €14.7 billion which will provide opportunities for over 5 million Europeans to study, train, gain work experience and volunteer abroad.
In Slovenia two national agencies co-ordinate the Erasmus+ programme during the period 2014-2020: The Centre of the Republic of Slovenia for Mobility and European Educational and Training Programmes (CMEPIUS), which covers the field of education, training and sport and MOVIT, Institute for Development of Youth Mobility which covers the field of Youth.
